Position Summary
Our client is seeking an experienced IT Infrastructure Manager to lead and modernize its enterprise technology infrastructure. This role combines strategic planning with hands-on technical leadership and is responsible for ensuring the stability, security, and scalability of the organization's IT environment.
The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in Microsoft technologies, cloud infrastructure, cybersecurity, and vendor management while serving as the primary liaison between the business and external technology partners.
Primary Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for the organization's Managed Service Provider (MSP), Security Operations Center (SOC), and other technology vendors.
- Oversee the daily operation, availability, and performance of enterprise IT infrastructure.
- Administer and optimize the Microsoft 365 ecosystem, including:
- Entra ID (Azure Active Directory)
- Intune
- Exchange Online
- SharePoint Online
- Microsoft Teams
- Conditional Access
- Identity and Access Management
- Manage Azure cloud resources and support ongoing cloud initiatives.
- Develop and maintain IT Service Management (ITSM) processes and platforms.
- Oversee endpoint management, device lifecycle management, software deployment, and patch management.
- Manage networking infrastructure including firewalls, VPN connectivity, switching, wireless networking, DNS, and DHCP.
- Partner with security vendors to monitor threats, remediate vulnerabilities, and strengthen the organization's cybersecurity posture.
- Support disaster recovery, business continuity, backup, and business resilience initiatives.
- Develop and maintain IT policies, standards, documentation, and operational procedures.
- Lead infrastructure-related projects from planning through implementation.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend improvements that enhance security, efficiency, and business operations.
- Provide technical leadership while mentoring internal staff and coordinating work performed by third-party vendors.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 8+ years of progressive experience in systems administration, infrastructure engineering, or enterprise IT.
- Strong experience administering Microsoft 365 environments.
- Hands-on expertise with:
- Microsoft Entra ID
- Microsoft Intune
- Azure
- Windows Server
- Active Directory
- Experience managing enterprise networking technologies and security infrastructure.
- Strong understanding of identity management, endpoint management, and Zero Trust security principles.
- Experience working with Managed Service Providers and technology vendors.
- Excellent troubleshooting, project management, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Microsoft certifications such as AZ-104, MS-102, or related credentials.
- Experience with Microsoft Defender, Sentinel, Purview, or other Microsoft security platforms.
- Experience implementing or administering ITSM platforms such as Freshservice, HaloITSM, or ServiceNow.
- Experience supporting organizations operating in regulated industries.
- Knowledge of governance, risk management, compliance, and cybersecurity best practices.
